Obituary: (Source: KCH:, 16 Mar 1945 Ingebrigt Storseth Early Settler Ingebrigt Storseth, who died last week in Seattle, was born July 25, 1872, at the old family home Storseth, in Havne district, South Trondelag, Norway. He attended elementary schools and after reaching early youth, he devoted his time to farm labor and other manual activities until he came to the United States about 1900. Settled at Port Blakely He first worked at Port Blakely, while making his home with his older brother, John, in the Vinland community. He then went to Alaska where he spent several years in transporting goods to men engaged in mining in the interior. Transportation was carried on by using both his own back and that of the horse as the place of burden. After some time he returned to Poulsbo, purchased 10 acres of land near his brothers place, where he gradually built a permanent home for himself and family. Married Elene Schel He was united in marriage to Elene Schel and three sons and two daughters were born to them. They are Emil and Adolph of Seattle, and Sigurd of Salah, Wash.; Mrs. Ellen Childe of Alameda, Calif., and Mrs. Gertrude MacLaughlin, also of Alameda. After having established himself and family in the home, Mr. Storseth engaged in the logging business with his brother until that activity was discontinued several years ago. Since that time the family made their living on farm home in Vinland. About two years ago Mr. Storseths health began to fail. Early in 1944 the family sold their country home and purchased a very fine residence in Seattle. His health gradually failing, Mr. Storseth passed away March 6. Funeral services were held at the Vinland church where the family had their church home. He was laid to rest in the church cemetery, Rev. J.H. Myrwang officiating. Mrs. La Rash played the organ and several beautiful hymns were sung by Mrs. O.E. Hanson.).
