- URLEY Dorothy Mae Hansen, age 72, of Burley, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014, at her daughter's home in Jerome.
She was born February 9, 1942, in Rupert, Idaho, the daughter of Edward Johansen and Reta Johansen Fewks. She grew up and went to school in Acequia, and Rupert, Idaho.
Mom then met and married Dean Paul Hansen of Burley, Idaho on June 22, 1967, and raised 3 girls. She spent much of her time and passed on her love and great values to her children and grandchildren. She will always be known for being a great mother and grandmother. Her family meant everything to her. Mom was always there for her family no matter when or where she was needed. Everything she did was for her family, but she also went the extra mile for her friends. She held some miscellaneous jobs, but mostly she was a full-time mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean; her parents, Edward and Reta; her sister, Betty; her brothers, Junior Edward Johansen, Larry Zachariah Johansen, Donald Michkelson Johansen, Darold Gene Johansen and Blaine Rae Johansen; and one granddaughter, Kara Barkes.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Burley LDS 2nd and 4th Ward Church, 515 E. 16th St., in Burley. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley.
Family and friends may call from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. Saturday at the church.
