- Cora Alfrieda Crossman, 93, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of July 15, 2015, in Lynden, WA. Born in Great Falls, MT on May 23, 1922, to Joseph and Mathilda Stordahl, she graduated from Fort Shaw High School, MT, where she played girls' basketball. She married Lawrence Johns and they had 4 children. While living in Helena, MT with her children, Cora worked for the State of Montana; met and married Grant Crossman and as she would say, "lived the good life." Cora and Grant retired in Salem, OR, where they resided until Grant's death in 2007. Cora then moved to Bellingham, WA, to be near her family. For the past 8 years she was lovingly cared for by her Granddaughter. She had a compassionate and accepting heart for everyone she met, a beautiful smile, and sported a wonderful sense of humor. She loved children and was an avid doll collector and crafter. Cora was preceeded in death by her parents, husbands Lawrence & Grant, daughter, Sally, three infant grandchildren, her brothers, Maynard and Bill and sisters, Helen, Ruth and Ollie. She is survived by three children, 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren: a sister and numerous special nieces and nephews.
