- Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Alice (Rushing) Ware - Sagor will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Elder Wayne Painter officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.
Mrs. Sagor, age 91, of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at her residence.
Sarah owned and operated Sarahs Beauty Shop for 40 years. She was a member of Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church of Pineville. Her faith never wavered and she loved her church. Her family and faith brought her the most joy.
She was a resident of Alexandria for over 60 years.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Herman, Sr. and Lessie (Smith) Rushing; husbands, J.T. Ware and David R. Sagor; three brothers, Willie Elisha Rushing, Rufus Ralph Rushing and William Bill Rushing.
She is survived by five daughters; Barbara Painter (Wayne) of Alexandria, Brenda Sagor of Evanston, Illinois, Paulett Sagor of Bothell, Washington, Debbe Hopper (Pat) of Everett, Washington and Kristine Sagor; six brothers, Herman J. Rushing, Jr. of Pascagola, Mississippi, Paul Rushing of Tylertown, Mississippi, Roy Smith Rushing of Ferriday, Donald Rushing of Tylertown, Mississippi, James Rushing of Brookhaven, Mississippi and Jerry E. Rushing (Bobbi) of Pineville; four sisters, Joyce Odom of Tylertown, Mississippi, Lessie Mae Rawls of Moss Point, Mississippi, Beth Morrow (Jim) of Tylertown, Mississippi, Maureen Spence (Harlan) of Monticello, Mississippi; nine grandchildren, DWana Chiles (Doug) of Baton Rouge, Byron Painter (Bobbie) of Alexandria, Jennifer Painter of Round Rock, Texas, April Painter of Alexandria, Ingrid Santora (Justin) of Chicago, Illinois, Michael Bockelie (Jessica) of Washington State, Aaron Bockelie (Amanda) of Washington State, Alex Hopper of Washington State, Heather Burrill of Washington State; thirteen great-grandchildren, Blake, Brooke, Ben, Sarah, Ava, Audrey, Brixbee, Anders, Chloe, Cora, James, Jake, and Israel; one brother-in-law, Johnnie Sagor of Washington State; two sister-in-laws, Nevon Rushing of Monticello, Mississippi and Shirley Rushing of Tylertown, Mississippi.
The family would like to say a special thanks to caregiver Jeannie Torry and Faith Foundation Hospice Pam Brossette, Julia Pikarsky, Lee Giles, and Toby Robinson.
