Tilje Ella Nora Trogstad was born in rural Harmony, Fillmore County, MN to Norwegian immigrants. Her parents, Frederik and Isabella Trogstad immigrated from Norway, and lived in rural Harmony, MN in 1886 when Nora was born. FSO citation ID: M8VT - ZJS One entry cites her parents moved to Washington when Nora was 2 years old. Her father's work is cited in Census records as a 'merchant', including MN, IL and WA. Nora's parents returned to MN where they are buried.
FSO cites Fredrik Trogstad married Isabella Larson December 10, 1878 at Fillmore County, MN. One might find the marriage also cited at Fillmore County, or perhaps a local Norwegian Lutheran Church. We did not do that search.

The 1900 US Census cites Nora, 14 and her brother Ferdinand, 13, were borders with Tobias (71) and wife Gunhilda (65) Larson in Parkland, Pierce County, State of Washington. It cites her birth in Minnesota and her parents were born in Norway.
The 1910 US Census cites Nora, 24, living with the Emma Ubank (of Iowa) household, head was also Nora's age, 24.
FSO ID KH1B - L77, death citation for Frederik Martinson Trogstad cites June 18, 1930 at Austin, Mower County, MN. Austin is a short drive from Harmony, where Nora was born. Nora's father died in 1930; and her mother in 1948, in Minnesota.
Nora's brother, Theodore Fredrik Trogstad, died in WA in 1950; her sister Mae in 1925 in Rochester, MN and her sister Ina (Grace) in 1990 in Austin, MN. Grace taught elementary school, having attended college 4 years, and never married. Two children, Elmer Morris b. 8.13.1880 and died 2.26.1883; and Tenora Rosalia b. 1884 and d. 1885, are buried at Greenfield Cem., Harmony, Freeborn, MN. FSO cites Fred & Emma Trogstad are the parents.
A google search for Trogstad in Norway indicates it is in the Ostfold fylke (like a county), south and east of Oslo.
