Funeral services for Selma Victoria Remme, 84, Luverne, Minnesota, were held on Sunday afternoon at the Blue Mound Lutheran Church, rural Luverne, Minnesota, with the Rev. James Florence officiating.
Burial was at the Blue Mound Cemetery with the Engebretson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Howard Remme, Walter Remme, Emmet Ensrud, Floyd Jackson, Rudolph Anderson and Roger Mork.
Selma passed away in Luverne, Minnesota on Thankgiving Day, November 25, 1971.
She was born Selma Lossius in Norway on May 2, 1887. Atthe age of 22, she came to the United States. She married Peter O. Remme at the Blue Mound Lutheran Church on October 20, 1909 and settled on a farm near Kenneth, Minnesota - Vienna Township, Rock County.
She is survived by two sons: Pete Remme of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Lloyd Remme of Kenneth, Minnesota; four daughters: Lillian (Mrs. Stanley) Smith, of Marcus, Iowa; Helen (Mrs. Kenneth) Hellie, of Jasper, Minnesota; Eleanor (Mrs. Ralph) Kvaas, of Luverne, Minnesota; and Mrs. Beverly Chizum of Manhattan Beach, California. One Step-son, Adolph of Prophetstown, Illinois; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Remme is preceded in death by her husband, one son, three step-sons, and one step-daughter; and one brother.
She was a member of the Laides Aid and the Blue Mound Lutheran Church.
