Carl O. Gunderson, 66, 301 21st street, died Sunday at a hospital after a three-month illness. Mr. Gunderson was born May 8, 1899, at Fort Randall, S. D. He lived in Sioux City for the last 21 years. He was employed by a Sioux City sash and door company 11 years before he becoming custodian of Grandview Apartments. He married Gladys Stott Oct. 20, 1956, at Dakota City, Neb. Survivors include the widow; six daughters, Mrs. Edna Olson of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Donald Junck of Hinton, Iowa, Mrs. Marvin Shadblat of Chamberlain, S. D., Mrs. Noreen Thorson of Elk Point, S. D., Mrs. Melvin Menard of Commerce City, Colo., and Miss Karen Gunderson of Sioux City; three sons, Gerald E. and James H., both of Sioux City, and Carl L. of Phoenix; a brother, Martin Gunderson of Hartington, Neb.; three sisters, Mrs. Inga Meder of Hazelcrest, Ill., Mrs. Carl Lang of Ellendale, N. D., and Mrs. Lloyd Peterson of Hartington; 30 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Anderson funeral home.

Funeral services for Carl O. Gunderson, 66, 301 21st street, who died Sunday at a Sioux City hospital after a three-month illness, will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Anderson Funeral Home. The Rev. Kenneth Franzen of the Trinity Lutheran Church at Hartington, Neb., will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank Bowman, Gerald Caldwell, Robert Collins, James Wanned, Walter Stewart and William Lacy.
