A funeral for Bernice E. Snekvik of McMinnville will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville. The Rev. Steve Ross of the McMinnville United Methodist Church will officiate.
Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, McMinnville.
The funeral home will be open for visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today and Wednesday.
Mrs. Snekvik died April 28, 2001, in Life Care Center, McMinnville. She was 88.
She was born Sept. 17, 1912, in Wrenshall, Minn., the daughter of Adelbert and Delia Foy Smith. She attended school in Carlton, Minn. She lived in Kalama, Wash., from 1934 to 1951, then moved to Longview, Wash. She later moved to Tillamook. She lived in McMinnville from 1976 to 1978, then moved to Amity. She moved back to McMinnville in 1994.
She enjoyed playing the piano and gardening.
Survivors include three sons, William "Bill" Heroux of McMinnville, Earl Heroux of Vancouver, Wash., and Elmer Heroux of Long Beach, Wash.; three daughters, margaret McGarvey of Longview, Dorothy McGehe of Payette, Idaho, and Darlene Arlich of Willits, Calif.; 21 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
