- LARS OLSON ROMUNDSTAD (RINDALEN)
Lars Olson Romundstad was born in Rindalen, Norway, July 24th, 1860. He resided there until he reached the age of 21, when he sailed for America and settled in Wisconsin. In the year of 1886 he was married to Marit Evenson. They moved to Maiden, Montana, in the year of 1888 and remained there for three years, then moving to Havana, North Dakota. In the year of 1925 he moved back to Strum and made his home here on his farm in Big Creek until the time of his death. He passed away on February 16th, at 5 p.m. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Marit and four children, Oscar at Havana, North Dakota; Helmer at Great Falls, Montana; Clara, Mrs. M. Otis Sherman of Eleva and Laurits at home; also eight grandchildren, one brother and one sister in Norway, one brother and one sister in Duluth, Minnesota, one sister in Havana, North Dakota and one sister in Canada. The funeral services were held here at the St Paul's Lutheran Church on Monday, February 19th, Rev. O.A. Hemboe officiating. Interment was made at the St. Paul's cemetery.
